Children who are removed from their birth parents due to issues of abuse or neglect often enter the foster care system with only the clothes they are wearing. It is up to their new resource parents to provide all their clothing necessities. This can sometimes prove difficult, as stores stock clothing for the coming season rather than for current weather conditions.
Middlesex County FAFS collects gently used children’s clothing in sizes newborn through children’s size 16/18. The clothing is made available to resource families in Middlesex and Union counties.
The clothing is housed at a local church, and is brought to most of the monthly meetings of Middlesex County FAFS. Resource parents can also contact us between meetings if there is a specific need for clothing for a child in their care.
Donations of gently used children’s clothing are always welcome. Email:
